The joint backup/backstop serves as a secure backstop for building seals and is an excellent match with other building materials.

DAFA joint backstop is used for filling around interior door frames, along timber batten ceilings, under skirting boards, or behind plastic sealants. A joint backstop can also be used for sealing corrugated or other types of roofing panels. The PU material is not UV-resistant.

DAFA joint backstop is included in the Nordic Ecolabelling database of construction products that can be used in Swan-labelled buildings.

Material

Soft PU foam or solid PE foam.

DAFA joint backstop foam strips made of solid PE foam are UV resistant but cannot absorb moisture.
